As based on the other thread related to SixtyGig 6.0, it's pretty obvious that we're resetting at this point regardless of how the vote turns out since both Plan 1 and 2 hold 50% of the entire server's votes.

If we do a creative mode project, we will activate that map in as little as a week (or sooner) once we decide what we want to build. But some people have expressed concerns they want to finish their builds for the museum. I have a way to satisfy the needs of both, and run both maps side-by-side. The players ready to transition over may do so and start working while the others remain behind working on their builds until they want to join us.

But, I need to know who wants to do this project? This will be a massive, multi-month long project (Basically non-stop until 1.7 is out and we start the new map).

The idea of this project is to set it up in such a way everyone can somewhat build freely on their own, because there's just too many people to organize per-every-little-project, so what will happen is a blueprint of the project will be laid out, and people can pick what they want to work on. Those details will come later.

But for now, I want a general tally of the amount of people who will be interested in this project, if we don't have enough interest we wont bother.

- Quality of Quantity, take your time, build really awesome stuff that matches the theme.

- This project will be put in the Museum.

- This project will be put up for download under my Curse/PMC accounts (So it gets public exposure leeching off my Texture Pack's success)

- If we finish it before 1.7, we'll just add to it!

- It'll be fun and grand!

- Limboians ARE WELCOME to leave Limbo and join us on the creative map. But they will remain the Limbo rank.

RULES:

- Don't screw around.

- Don't use TNT without permission.

- Match the theme in the area

- Don't make anything out of place.

- Keep up to date with the thread!

- Clean up your messes

- DON'T HIDE MISTAKES. Fix them!

- Don't build lazy. Do things "right". ;)

Ray... Maybe a second poll that lists theme ideas for the build? Or do you have a particular theme in mind?

We're probably going "Classic" and building a castle-city-thing. But the scope will be large enough there will be something for everyone. Based on my current concept:

- A Castle

- Church (Gothic style?)

- Watch Towers (Built into or right outside city walls)

- A lighthouse

- A huge ship port

- Multiple inner-city districts, like a "poor" part of town, a "rich" part of town trade districts.

- Bars, taverns, inns

- City walls, multilayers to give the city an appearance that as it grew beyond it's walls, they had to build more.

- Farmland and poor homes scattered around randomly outside the city (Think: Skyrim)

- Inside the city, mostly stone-based roads, outside gravel and cobble pathways

- Huge 255 block high replica of EnglishMaster

- Anything else that fits the theme?

I am now within the creative realm and have since said a very fond goodbye to SG5 (including my sphere ; ;).  I brought it up with Ray already, but I would like to create a "university" as a part of the city.  I have been wanting to make something like this for a while, and this project seems like the perfect opportunity.  It is typical that places of learning in high-fantasy or even reality-based are somewhat removed from the township; much like major seats of religion.  I believe it reflects a necessary freedom in order for innovation to occur.  I would like to continue this tradition and place the "university" somewhere on the fringes once it is time for development to occur.

NOTICE: We have to start a new map, there's no reasonable way to fix the "cat spawn problem" without covering the gound in anything not-dirt (and thats ugly) or using mods/plugins/admin commands...and since we're going legit-creative, thats not an option.

So, Hold tight until I find us a new home. :)

Sorry to the guys who already put in some work terraforming! :(

What was the 'cat spawn problem' - too many, or too few?!

Too many, there were literally 60-70+ all over the place once the jungle was cleared, and there's no "legit" way to stop them from spawning. We have a much better spot now though. :)

I'm guessing there is a wider plan than just that island? It doesn't seem very big, one or two days on creative is all it will probably take to finish if there's a team of people! :)

I'm afraid my squat dirt block monument of Englishmaster was the definitive, why make it out of anything else? Theres a picture somewhere.  ;))

- Farmland and poor homes scattered around randomly outside the city (Think: Skyrim)

I like that, it's the only thing that fits my building style .... I'm not technical, though Watchtowers may be interesting too.

I think I'll hang on and tie up a few loose ends on 5 first though.

Alright, the new location is ready for work. If anyone who is on the creative map logs in and i'm not there, just go by the guide in the OP and start removing the forests, the village and terraform the desert. :)

I love using the Ros-lo-seum as a unit of measurement!

"How big is the Island?"

"Oh, about 4 Ros-lo-seums"

"That guy owns a 10 Ros-lo-seum farm outside of town."

"The emancipated slaves were promised 40 Ros-lo-seums and a mule."

This could work!!!
