Following on from a little discussion on the SixtyGig Hangout, everybody show us your desk/work space/shelf/table/lap/thing!

For some reason it has proved to be an interesting thing to share.

Welcome to my bedside table/stumpy laptop desk/crockery display.
Complete with the carefully curated book stack, "sleepy sleepy night night" pills, a small non smokers tobacco packaging collection and a now cold cup of tea.

OK, I'm game.  Here's a pic of where I spend a lot of time.  I work from home.  So the two screens on the right are my work computer (Windoze), and the two screens on the left are my personal (Mac) computer.

Now, if I can just find a way to be a teacher, and work from home...

This is where I do all things on my Mac (good to see that I am not the only Mac user) It can be tricky at times but I manage.

Definitely winning on tidiness points.  I noticed more than one monitor, whatya complaining about?

It is nice to have two.  One to watch the livemap, or look up how to craft something, and one to play MC on.

That is a beautiful desk! Love the glass. I admit (as much as I hate to) you have a very nice setup. I'll post my less than amazing desk when I get home. I can't post work pics because government. Suffice it to say it's a desk with things on it.

NEVAH!

Actually there's a semi-long story as to why I ended up with a 46" $3000 3dTV as a computer monitor.. but the TL:DR version is:

- Last job had me traveling around and moving every 4-6 months

- Because of that, I could only bring what would fit in my car/truck reasonably, so I really only owned the TV, a PS3, 2 laptops, and other basics.

- Thus, I bought really expensive toys that didn't take up as much space, and cheap furniture I would throwout/donate every move. So I bought the TV and a laptop, hooked the laptop to the TV, and the TV acted as my computer monitor and living room TV.

- Results, after job ended and I went to college, I now don't move constantly, but still have the TV (and live in a tiny room)

- Now it's my monitor, because I'll be damned if I am going to put a $3,000 Bravia into storage. :P

- Bought the second monitor later, so I could watch TV shows on my computer on the second monitor while I work in photoshop/play MC/whatever on the big one.

So you bought a computer monitor to watch TV on while you play on your computer on the TV screen :)

Nice!
