Since moving house it has become extremely cramped. A tone more equipment off shot.

An update from the end of a typical work day (all of the physical machines using Synergy + more secret technology against the other walls, 7 or 8 VMs and at least 5 RDP sessions to other kit in various locations around the planet):

I spy a Cruzer USB stick.

Do your legs ever get tangled when both seats are occupied?

Indeed a Cruzer.

As for legs becoming tangled, no there's a huge clearance - in fact if we want to play footsie it's really hard to reach.

Now from the art-deco to the art-notso. decided to use a pallet I've been saving for another project and start on a desk. Still have a bunch of stuff to do to it, but the basic frame is done.

everything used except for the top was from the pallet. the top was some 3/4" MDF board I get from where I work, privileges from being a saw operator. :)   I still have the other half of the pallet and plenty of MDF to do another or a work bench.

here's a better pic of what it looks like.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but here's my desk! Primary gaming machine is my pc, the Mac is used for everything else. Both screens and the keyboard can switch between the two machines on the fly. I use separate mice because the Kensington software doesn't like it when the mouse is unplugged and I lose the extra button control. Yes, I get confused sometimes as to which mouse/computer I'm using (mac is always right, which means pc has to be left). I use the Saitek gaming pad for every game I play - including MC. The white cup is my "coffee mug" that gets filled 7-8 times a day with cold coffee. Since everything is so spread out, I need 3 wrist rests to keep the carpel tunnel at bay. Container of peanuts is to satisfy the late night munchies! The view to the left is my wife's setup - she prefers to look up/down at monitors than left/right. My desk is an antique I refurbished 15 years ago and cant imagine using anything else.

Screens, those are minimalist! This was the style of my work desk ( Grass Valley suite) through the late '80s, remarkably I now only use 2 screens and it's portable such is the pace of progress. Like many I found my eyes tired quickly and I moved away from editing to other production roles that didn't involve going boggle eyed..

I got an upgrade.  On a desk, in the living room and the screen is so big I feel like I am actually in the game instead being at home (well kinda)

An upgrade in screen yay!
