Hello SixtyGig Community!

I'm a big, well, forums guy, so you will probably see me around here a good amount. Anyways, what is your favorite song as of now? Feel free to post multiple if you can't decide, you can post a YouTube video of it by clicking the "Special BBCode" button and go to where it says "Media", then you simply post the link of the video.

My favorite song as of now, strangely enough is a song from the show Supernatural, O Death by Jen Titus.

Happy posting,

~Ga

This past Fall I quite liked a song called "Let Her Go" by Passenger.  Had it at the end of my running playlist - great tune for cool down - very soothing and relaxing for me.

It has been a pretty slow year or two in music for me, nothing really grabbed my attention. If any, I would pick this song by The Black Keys, a favourite band of mine http://www.youtube.c...h?v=6k8es2BNloE

Honourable album mentions to Jack White's Blunderbuss and Vampire Weekend's Modern Vampires of the City.

Of all time? No question, Tiny Dancer http://www.youtube.c...h?v=hoskDZRLOCs, Baba O'Riley in a close second http://www.youtube.c...h?v=SCNeVHv3Mlg

But anything by The Who or Paul Simon serves me more than well, more than a few things by The Smiths, The Stranglers and Led Zeppelin as well.

So this is a song made famous by Malvina Reynolds.

It is the intro song for the well know TV-show "Weeds"

And they tend to have diffrent artists make their version of the song for the intro.

This version is made by Rise Against, a rock/metal band.

Anyways, I hope you listen to it :)

I'm a big fan of Coldplay's viva la vida:https://m.youtube.co...h?v=dvgZkm1xWPE
Kinda poppy (I tend to not like pop), but I like the instrumental a lot.

Also The Killers' somebody told me:https://m.youtube.co...h?v=Y5fBdpreJiU

Also, I really like a song I heard a few days ago, The Cave, by Mumford and Sons -- it combines the bluegrass I used to enjoy with my dad when I was a small child and my current alt. rock interests.https://m.youtube.co...h?v=oMO4xdOS5jY

I'm pasting these links in on a phone, so if they mess up just take out the 'm' in the URL.

Thanks for all of the feedback everyone! I love exploring new genres and new music, so I hope to see this thread continue with more awesome music!

My favorite really depends on my mood, I always have songs for all of my moods, music has, is, and always will be a huge part of my personal life.

These songs are from the Project X soundtrack, which in my opinion is also great:

These songs are both explicit, so if you do not want the swearing then these probably won't be your cup of tea (no pun intended).

Ahh my favorite sang at the moment is such a hard choice :/ Considering i just go onto pandora and let the flows roll :P

But at the moment my favorite are these two :D

Matty Lincoln Ft. Mandas - Melbourne Sound - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=g9k5ssPAGnk (lots of swearing)

and

Rolling Stones - Paint It Black - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=n1zBG2TEjn4

They are just a tad different to each other ;) but i love em

I'm listening to so many genres of music that I can't compare them so I will post a few of them:

A great song about love and pain with a wonderful strong voice and the stunning sound of an acoustic guitar:

My Heroine by Silverstein

The next one is one of my favorite piano pieces played by a very talented person:

Colors of the Wind Piano Version (Disney Song from Pocahontas)

Last but not least I have to mention a dramatic and powerful orchetral Soundtrack:

Oblivion (the Movie) OST - Fearfull Odds

I'm so obsessed with this song.

@Shukit

I know that song from the 2nd season of Supernatural. I like it's emotional guitar and the increasement of the voice. Great Song ;)

@Ga55246

Seems like you would like partys ;) 128 bpm and a classical dance kick - why not. :P

I remember seeing Queensryche open up for Metallica in the late eighties - they were a pretty checked out opening act.  Operation: Mindcrime was a pretty far out album, good, but really cerebral.

But Silent Lucidity was one of their best.  I pretty much burned out the cassette playing this one over and over and over in the old man's car.

Twenty five years later and it still holds up incredibly well.

A lot of good music on here :D. Far as favorite songs go that is a hard one since I enjoy listening to everything that deals with the art of sound, this includes well everything from Classical music like Mozat to punk like GG Allen, nature sounds to Celtic woman.

And no this is not a trololol, I actually listen to this while I do my things. https://www.youtube....h?v=WvbcnPkiYx8 Talk about peppy.

My favorite song is "In Your Atmosphere" by John Mayer.  It's not only got a really neat guitar part, but it has amazing lyrics.  if you haven't heard it, listen to it because it's pretty awesome. ;)
