Oh boy! everyone's so musically inclined! I play a bit of piano, a fair bit of drums (kit and these), and Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and Tenor Saxophone in school bands, and singing, well, if I'm singing you'd better get your earplugs!

The word 'onomatopoeia' is an onomatopoeia because it's derived from the sound that is made when the word is spoken aloud.

And that, my friends, is why we do not visit Ros's basement.

I can hum... not that great at it. Whenever someone asks if I play instruments I tell 'em I can play the radio. :P I overuse that joke.

The real question is...do any of you play one of THESE instruments?

Close enough, I have been playing the bagpipes for about 6 years now.
I have not played condom pipes yet, but I am debating making some. :P

Holy musical talent batman! I'm curious now if there's actually some kind of correlation between the kind of people who like to play Minecraft and the kind of people who like to play instruments..

I used to play French horn and trumpet back in high school and college, but they wouldn't let me take the school instruments with me when I left, sadly. I've got an old beaten up acoustic guitar and keyboard that I like to jam out on, but it would be a bit of a stretch to say I can actually "play" them haha.

Oh, and I play the steering wheel drums at stop lights, and sing! But only in the shower. When no one is around.. Because I'm just that good at it... :)

Wow so many musicians in the 60gig-community, didn't know that!

I also play the guitar like many others. Can't tell whether I'm good or bad at it though. Hope I'm decent... :S

btw. saxophon: love it

I could probably draw most of those sexy instruments! Does that count? =}

I used to sing in a choir like... well some time ago, but I actually cant even read the note sheets or whats it called. ;)  Learning by hearing ftw :P

Do we maybe also have someone who writes songs? Or who likes to mix new sounds etc? Maybe we could have a SG minecraft opera :D

Hugs Claudia

Fun to ser that there are some musicians on the forum.
I earn most of my money playing guitar :-) it hasn't paid that well honestly, but I'm still a student, so it's not that important yet.

Do any of you guys play in a band?

I have been playing the piano for almost 3 years now. Since 2 months I'm learning the violin. I haven't played in a band.

The viscount turned his shadowed face toward the flickering candlelight and addressed the detective with a cold demeanor. "The only instrument I play, Mr. Hammond, is the instrument of your demise." He brandished a revolver and fired twice. Hammond didn't know much about music but the viscount was playing a tune he could dance to. As he dove for the floor, narrowly dodging both bullets, he managed to get his own piece out and added a couple of notes of his own. The viscount crumpled in a heartbeat, his last.

Oh, and I play the piano.

Even bought a additional tenor one.
Tried to teach myself some keyboard for some time,

while practicing my newest discovery: The Didgeridoo :P

When I was in elementary school and needed to pick an instrument, I really wanted to play the saxophone but the didn't have anymore slots in the band so I went with the viola. But, of course, once I was in the orchestra I realized that cellos are pretty sexy too so I taught myself how to play that also.

I played the viola for years and years straight, playing 5-10 hours a day, every day no matter what I did that day... I simply obsessed over it. >.< Over the years, I've completely ruined my body both from playing and from accidents so I've needed to stop but I still take out my viola now and again... and play it like it's the last time I might ever be able to.

2 permanently dislocated shoulders from car accident/falling on ice/car accident/snowboard/water skiing, arthritis so bad in my left hand my fingers curve a little (at the age of 28), jaw that can pop out of place while I'm chewing/talking if I'm not careful and had dislocated my elbow a couple years ago in a snowboarding accident

After scrolling through this thread it appears I am the first to bring the mighty trombone section in to play. I play just about anything, but mostly classical music. I also play a little (and I mean little) trumpet as well. That said glad to se so many instrumentalists here.
