Hello there everyone! :)

Since it seems this is what I have been looking for from a community and I'll be staying here, I decided to make an introduction thread.

So my name Is Jenni and I live in finland. I work as IT specialist (very vague title,  I know and I like it that way. XD) and i get to do everything from fixing computers to administering servers and working with systems. There are lot of different things to do and it keeps me busy and happy.

On free time I like to relax by doing even more things, though usually playing games if I'm lazy.

Mostly I play with computers, but you can also find me playing consoles (ps2/3/4,xbox360/one,3ds,wii/u...). Rarely I can even be spotted playing board games (like arkham horror) or card games (Chez geek and munchkin) or something else, but they usually need somekind of special occasion. Because on other times im too busy playing computer or consoles..

If I am not gaming, I like to draw, sew, "play" with dolls (BJD:s or Dollfies if someone has heard of them), which means I like to photograph them, do furniture to them or something else.

But as for everyone else in this world, what I do isn't who I am, and that, my friends, you have to learn just by talking to me so I can learn about you all too. :)

And I must say, this server does welcoming right. Everyone notices you and says hi and answers when there is something to ask. I've been shown places, given a start and the Hotel is great. *___* Even though it's fun to start with dirt house in middle of nowhere and fight for survival in new servers, it was really really really nice change to just reserve hotel for a little while and not be afraid of getting eaten in the first night. I could focus on thinking about what I want to do, not what I need to do to survive. Really big + from me.

And I have also seen some of other people's places and they are sooo pretty and huuge. I get really much inspiration seeing other people doing great things and finding out all the marvelous things you people have done.

But I digress. XD see you guys in game!

Another 'IT Specialist'? Most interesting indeed... I may have to start referring to myself as a Specialist Generalist or a Generalist Specialist if this keeps on.

So then Vaellella what's your opinion of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

Captain_Marko : Yeaah! Me too :D

Liliksnek : I will <3 I need to visit your place again soon!

Blue_Dragon360 : Haha, so I have been told, but I don't konow if I still trust it. Just a randomish girl doing whatevs come to her mind. ;D

Nuluvius, I'm pretty sure I'm the other one also, we talked in my application thread. :D And seriously, it's my job title. Reads in my employee card and paycheck.  I think half of us in the company are "IT specialist" , since I'm not  the only one who's work is quite randomish. We all do quite lot of different things, so it would be quite hard to pin just one specific job title. Our job descriptions also get changed bit every couple of years.. so I suppose it's just so it would be versatile.

And MLP : FIM is awsum.  I love the irony of it, animations,  emotions and pinkie pie.  We are watching it with one of my friends. And mind you, he dresses in black, looks like he's about to bite anyone who comes near and he also likes MLP. ;D

Though, I don't like the human versions and I don't think I have seen the newest ones..

But same question back, what are your opinions of it?

Rosleen : And I'm so happy to be with you on SG *__*

Thank you for letting me in everyone!

Oh dear I completely missed the connection! Sorry about that, Sundays are a burn out day for me at the end of a 72 hour week.

I think it's great that you feel this way about it :D

For a long time I'd known about the phenomenon surrounding the show and I'd herd (see what I did there) stories about how insidious it could be for some; akin to the effects of encountering a black hole. That said I'd never actually taken a look for myself until recently when my daughter received a giant Pinky Pie plushy as a gift.

Inevitably there were questions about said plushy which lead us on a magical journey of discovery, wonder and eventual awe. After sitting through the first few episodes I was unimpressed and unaffected... However upon reaching about the fourth... it was all over for me and for her. Now after sitting though a giant 3 week long marathon of watching all of the seasons 1-4 and both films I have been completely assimilated.

In summary watching this with my daughter, seeing how much she has enjoyed and engaged with it and hearing her questions on the content/values was fantastic. She has taken quite a lot away from the show and being able to share in that was really nice. It's left me with a lot of respect and admiration for the show as well as the paraphernalia and (some of the) community around it. Moreover I found it to be really entertaining and thought it was very well written. It's even got Q (John de Lancie) in it playing a very similar part with most of the same mannerisms!

Will I dress up? Not a chance. Will I attend conventions? Probably not happening. Will I decorate my desktop/s and collect plushies? Definitely because they are cute and I've done the same with anime themes.

Just look at who I was given for Valentines Day (Hearts and Hooves Day) - now my office is about 20% cooler!
