Hello everyone, my name is Matt (MrGunzy IGN). I'm a 32 yr old male from Kentucky. I’m a huge geek, software developer, and a father of triplets. Long story short, I love playing Minecraft and would love to join a mature and properly managed server.
Now here's the long version.
I've been a gamer my whole life but after I had kids my gaming hobby became much less of a hobby. Then I discovered Minecraft, a game I could jump into at any time and pick up right where I left off. It was relaxing and entertaining, and I could play for 20 min or hours at a time (whenever I had time). After playing solo for about 6 months I decided I wanted to join a server, but ended up starting my own. I wanted a "mature" server for adults and managed to recruit a great group of players. I operated my server (I called it Midworld) for approx. 2 years. Midworld had a great run, but unfortunately I didn't have the time to manage it properly and keep it going. Therefore, I chose to shut it down. After this I took about a 6 month break from Minecraft mostly due to the fact I just didn't want to play solo again. I've really been itching to jump back in and share the Minecraft experience with others, hence my search for a new adult server to join.
Now, a bit about me as a player...
If I had to give myself a label, it would probably be "Builder" but I’m also a survivalist and enjoy exploring. I like redstone but I do very little with it. I'm a bit of a loner meaning that I spend a lot of time focusing on my builds or exploring. This may seem odd considering I want to join a multiplayer server but I mainly just enjoy the atmosphere of a server. Even though I’m a loner, I don’t like being lonely in the huge Minecraft world if that makes sense, LOL. I like to explore other people’s creations and share my own builds. I’m social in chat and still love to participate in certain events and activities, but sometimes my schedule and lifestyle doesn’t allow me to log in at specific times. I try to play at least every other day, sometimes more, sometimes less just depending on how busy or tired I am.
I look forward to the potential opportunity of joining SixtyGig and getting to know everyone!
