Okay, I'm just going to use srm86's Application Format Suggestion thing for this.

In Game Name: PixelDimension

Real Name: Hallie

Age: 15

Previous Minecraft Experience: I started playing Minecraft sometime in late 2011 near the end of Beta. (Beta1.8ish maybe?) I'm not much a fan of Survival Mode, although I do play it on occasion. I'm much more inclined to the building aspect of Minecraft. I like to try to make builds as realistic as possible (for example, I once built an entire city with extremely detailed street names, areas, etc.), and to use spaces in unique ways.

Your background: I'm not very good at describing myself, but I'll do my best.

I'm generally a pretty introverted person. I like reading a lot of books. My biggest fears are spiders, mushrooms and death. My favorite food is pretty much anything with pasta. I love snow and winter weather, which is unfortunate because there's not much of that where I live. I like rock music. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor.

I would be very surprised if I am not the youngest person to ever post an application here. I like to think I'm more mature than most people my age (although I'm obviously quite biased so I guess you guys have to be the judge of that). Please don't just ignore this application purely based on a number.

Happy New Year everyone!

Hi Pixel, and welcome to the SG forums.

You are far from our youngest applicant :) I think we have a few members who are younger too.

From the top of my head, I believe we had a 10 year old apply at some point :) and someone was 12 or 13 when they joined..

And I would be that oldster at 67.  You are the same age as my grandson, and I have played MC with him, and would welcome him here, so if you are mature in thought and actions, you will be welcomed here.

There's a story behind that. When I was really little (around age 7 maybe), we had a lot of rain over a long period of time one spring. After the weather began to gradually change to be more sunny mushrooms started growing EVERYWHERE. I was afraid of accidentally stepping on one, or accidentally getting poisoned by one somehow, and also was afraid of somehow breathing in the spores (I shuddered just typing the word "spores", lol) and over time this just developed into a general fear of mushrooms. And now if I see one I'll panic and run the other way.

I've had something like that happen. Except it was snails, rainy day and the snails come to play especially if your backed to the forest. On our sliding glass doors i swear the were fifty of them on that window scared the crap outta me one morning.

P.S. I didn't leave the house that day.

Ah? Is that fear of mushrooms? Or something else?

Fear of mushrooms is called mycophobia, and the fear of snails is molluscophobia.

I myself suffer (now to a mild degree) from nyctophobia (darkness), aquafobia (waterfright) (although only open water like at the beach, pools are no problem), and I think it might just be scyphophobia (fear of jellyfish), acrophobia (heights), agoraphobia (open areas, but restricted to open areas with buildings. Nature is fine) and anthropophobia (too many people).

I have been battling the different phobias since childhood, but seem to be at a point now where I just get a bit nervous and edgy when they strike.

It seems you have to face your fear, and take it in small doses. Then increase the dosage over time. The exception here is thanatophobia (fear of death) - that's requires a different approach ;)

I deal with Acrophobia (Fear of heights) by watching stupid people nearly kill themselves.

Oh, heights are a big one for me, too. I wouldn't panic like I would if it was mushrooms, but they definitely make me very uncomfortable. About a year ago, I was talked into going zip lining. It was terrifying.

This is just a threadbump so it doesn't go unnoticed when the applications are all done in a few days.

Never fear death, if it happens, you will never know about it anyways. (atheist speaking) hehe.

good luck on the app.
