Guh, I see what you are saying Ray. I truly apologize to all those that feel that they've been wrongly judged by what I've said. I swear that it was never my intention to upset the people that chose one way or another, I too just wanted to leave my view on it. I realize that my view was the one of exhaustion where I've been gathering mats for months and just wanted to be able to use them.

As you say, the poll is over and I respect the results of it, and the votes that are made.

Stacy, it is in the nature of a "status tracker" to get a value/rank of your condition in relation to other people that are using the same tracker, or to compare people with each other.

Also, it is not my intention to insult anyone, sorry if you are feeling this way - and no, I've never said that people are NOT community spirited on this server. All are.

I think many, myself included, have a philosophical problem accepting a change imposed on them by the will of the majority based on a belief rather than facts. Many think of such philosophical beliefs as personal which should decided by the individual.

"I wholly agree that Plan 2 allows for both of what people want. You want to start over, then start over. I want to bring a chest full o' precious, then I can.

I agree - the way I see it, people voting for plan 2 are leaving it up to each member to make their own decision whether to start clean or not. Not forcing their "utopia views" on others (which in ANY case, philosophy and/or argument will always be nothing more but a subjective view!).

I still think there's a "I want to start clean, so you can't bring items over or it wouldn't be fair to ME!" - flavor

to this whole thing.


And - bringing in a stat tracker will also increase the element of competition. One of the things that I loved about this server was the non-existing drama due to the lack of competitive elements involved. I've always loved the relaxed atmosphere. I fear that this tracker will just be of annoyance and a source of stress, rather than a productive and good setting for the server.
