Topics I've Started

Offtime

09 February 2014 - 02:01 PM

I'm experiencing some problems with performance; laptop seems to be running MC at 4 - 5 FPS, which for me is unplayable :/

I'll do some digging and clear cache etc, maybe even a full re-download of MC might help?

So if I'm not online often, I haven't left, but I understand if you want to get rid of me due to said inactivity.

Thanks in advance,

James

Random builds/ future ideas!

04 January 2014 - 10:31 AM

Hey, just making a thread to record and I suppose show off one of my builds/ my buildstyle.

- This was made in creative, but I've remade it a lot of times in survival with little effort; ultimately I'd like to be able to make an entire village/town all in and about this style.

P.S, not a particularly fantastic builder and I've never done a massive project!

Hope you like;
if you don't please keep it to yourself (:

Cz_Sub_Zero1's Application to SixtyGig!

17 October 2013 - 10:37 AM

In Game Name: Cz_Sub_Zero1 ... I Actually want to change this to something else but I will update the post if there are any changes.

Real Name/Preferred Name: You can call me James, Jim, Jimmy (or any combination of the above)

Age: Twenty, coming Twenty-one in January though.

Previous Minecraft experience:

I started playing Minecraft after watching a couple of 'BlueXephos' videos and really wanted to play it. My first experience was actually of Minecraft "Classic", Mojang's free to play game at the time. It was fun messing about, but I wanted to actually play the full game! I think I started playing in Version:1.2.3, so not too long ago, really. First server that I played on was just mine and a friend's, to get me into the game, to build and to actually complete the game by killing Betsy (Ender Dragon). I've played on a lot of servers, mainly creative however. Unfortunately my computer is low spec and running minecraft can be a tad awkward at times with FPS hitting the glorious 10-15, sometimes even lower, so as a result I haven't really played as much as I'd like to! I've watched my Mum (SK_Celt) playing your server, well actually mainly the limbo server and I've seen her on your creative project, It looks like a ton of fun and I'd love to get involved! My most recent minecraft binge was on a friend's skyblock server (with plugins). We had put in over 150 Hours into building up our perfect little world in the sky, when all of a sudden, his plugins decided they didn't want to play ball anymore! :/ We lost the island! Since then I haven't really played at all. I really want to get back into Minecraft and I think that SixtyGig would be a really nice place for me to call home!

Your background:

I've had a hard life, I suppose (Haven't we all). I've found that music is a fantastic way to help you cope with any problem you may face, however. I'm a lover and creator of music, I have been playing guitar since I was about ten years of age, and now play in band [Streetless City; the place we practice in is called Whitehead. The town has no streets! It's all Avenues and Crescents, etc.]. I oddly play bass in the band as no-one else was willing to as, you know, the bassist is the invisible guy! I love all genres of music, bar two. Popular chart music and country! However, there are some exceptions to the rule. Generally if the song sounds good to me, I'll listen to it and not be elitist over genres or bands.

I Started working when I was sixteen as my Mum gave me an option: Either go to college and study further education or start an apprenticeship. I was never a lover of sitting in a classroom so I chose the latter. I Started training to be an electrician, without realizing that it involved sitting a classroom learning physics three days of the week! I trained for almost two years until I had got fired. I was at an incredibly low point of my life and subsequently my College work was at a low point. I failed an exam 3 times in a row! Unfortunately I couldn't get another job and dropped out of college. I went on benefits for almost another two years before now I'm on a work based training scheme welding and fabricating steel.

Well that's about it, me up to date on where I am at this point in time!

Apologies for going on and on, btw!

I really hope that I can become a member of SixtyGig and become a part of this community.

I am aware that applications won't be looked at until 1.7 is released, but I thought I'd may as well when it was fresh on my mind!

Thank you for reading my application!
