Previous Minecraft experience: I've played Minecraft for a while. I bought it a few months, maybe a year, before official release. First as s8an1, I was part of the server Super-Earth, which I liked and became a mod for a short while. I had to take a hiatus from MC for a few months and when I came back it wasn't the same, some of my friends had left. I got in contact with some of them and they migrated to DHMC, now as sk3ptik. I really liked that server. It had a small community, cool plugins, etc. I left that server because I felt too old. Most of that community is in their low teens, so it wasn't always as fun. I've been looking for a new server ever since... I like building structures but I'm not as good. What I really like is redstone contraptions and problem solving with redstone, and mining cause ya'know.. it's Minecraft. Sometimes I prefer helping people out with their builds or gathering enchantments, tools.
Your background: I'm currently finishing up medschool and happily married with a woman that understands my gaming 'addiction'? Idk maybe. So I don't have that much free time. Buuut most if not all of my free time goes into gaming. I like gaming, always had. I play on the PS3 and some games on steam. I mostly like indie titles like Legend of Dungeon, Starbound, Hammerwatch and lately Project Zomboid.
