I have played Minecraft for almost a year now, SP and on two multiplayer servers. The first one was a local one, and I learned the hard way what griefing is. After some research I found a new one. I've been part of a US server with mature players for some time now, but I never felt that we where working together as a community or in groups. We where like a bunch of single minded ants trying to build ant hills alone. I guess this is what I am looking for now, a server where I can meet and interact with adult players while enjoying this wonderful and addictive game. Hopefully making some friends along the way and having a good time planning and working on projects together. That said, I do like to do some building on my own as well.

So I ended up doing another search for "mature minecraft server" and "adult only minecraft server" and sixty-gig was one of many servers I checked out. The more I read about your server the more interested I got, and I feel like this will be a great place to set up a permanent shelter.

So far I have only played survival vanilla style. It appeals more to me to mine, gather and bleed a litte for the resources needed, and then place them brick by brick. I usually spend much time on planning building plots and design, though the latter usually end up with trial and error before I end up with what I want. I try to make my builds fit with the surroundings and be a part of the landscape rather than removing what's there. I also make an effort to (and ecpect others to) make as little scarring as possible while gathering materials. I find it very enjoyable to make complex redstone mechanisms part of my creations and spend a lot of time to keep them compact and hidden.

Out of game I am working as a geologist on a rig off the norwegian coast. The weather there is often severe and if it's not possible to operate the rig there is always plenty of time to place some bricks. When I'm not at work my main priority is my girls (read: daughter and wife), but there is usually time left to play some Minecraft.

I hope you will consider my application to join you. Please feel free to ask

Here is some screenshots from my last server.
