As we all know the holiday season is upon us and a lot of us are doing something special for the holidays. I was just wondering what everyone's plans were for the season.

I plan on spending the holiday season with family as many of you likely are. I am having a christmas dinner with my father which is special considering he rarely cooks. I am very much looking forward to the holidays as I get to spend a lot more time with my family as well as take a full month away from the stress of college. I may not be going anywhere special, but being with my family and finally being able to enjoy quality time is more than enough to make me happy .

I applied months ago to the server but sadly I was rejected. After playing on a variety of public servers and having mixed luck, I thought I would once again try my luck at SixtyGig. A lot has changed since then, hopefully you view me as a potential new addition to the server.

Real Name / Preferred Name: My real name is Andrew, I am also very used to Chim and Chimera as that is what I go by on public servers.

Age: 18

Previous Minecraft Experience: I started playing minecraft around a year ago. I started with the pocket edition of the game but eventually transitioned to the PC version around release 1.4 and never looked back. I am not as experienced as much of the minecraft community but I have made an effort to make up for lost time. I have specialized in redstone and building design primarily and have pretty much ignored the PvP aspect of the game. I have become significantly better at redstone and design since I last applied and I can finally say that I'm proud of some of my builds. I know way too much about the vanilla game and a variety of its mechanics and use that knowledge to help others on the servers I play on. Since I last applied I played on a variety of public servers and have made good friends along the way. I quickly became staff on the servers I played on and devoted my time to bettering the servers. Sadly all of the servers I truly enjoyed closed due to financial issues and I have had a hard time finding servers to replace them. I have grown tired of the drama of public servers where the server constantly asks for votes and donations while the players bicker over small details. I am looking for exactly what SixtyGig has to offer, a small tight-knit community where I can play with people I get along with and simply enjoy the game.

My Background: Since I last applied I have left high school and went off to college. I am an engineering major and I am doing my best to get through college without issue. I have been able to sustain good grades and spare time by eradicating that which you call sleep from my life. I currently attend a local community college near my home in southern California but plan to hopefully transfer to UC Berkely where I can finish my Engineering major. I have a logical mindset by nature and thus enjoy working with systems that require me to think. I believe that is the reason I enjoy redstone so much and is the reason I plan to take computer science in the upcoming semester.

As far as my family history goes I am American with a Canadian background. Both of my parents are pure Canadian, one if from BC with a pure English background and the other is from Montreal with a pure French background oddly enough. I was born in Washington state but raised for the majority of my life in Southern California.

A Final Note: I know that SixtyGig is exactly what I am looking for in a server, and I hope that I am what you are looking for in a potential member. I realize that applications are technically closed at the moment so I do not expect to be accepted in the near future. I do however wish to put my name out there once more and hopefully show that I have changed since my last application. If any of you have any questions or comments please say so, I will stick around and answer any and all questions posted on this thread.

Starting to learn more complicated redstone, still very sloppy and bigger than it needs to be at this time. This is me trying to make a furnace without using a furnace. 

Getting better at redstone, this is the logic behind a rubik's cube design I was building. I never finished that design due to it becoming rather outdated once 1.7 snapshots started to show up. 

Started to learn design for the first time, this was my attempt at a decorative floor. 

That same room once it was finished, it had a path for zombies to walk through as they tracked villagers on the other end, I considered making a tower defense game out of it but never did.

That same server wanted a new hub, this was my first prototype design

Worked on the walls of a nether-themed castle, this was my first attempt at a castle since Pocket Edition so it isn't exactly perfect 

Then I made a desert castle, I like this one better except that the water doesn't blend well in a variety of texture packs 

The last of my castle trio, nothing spectacular but I think it is nice

Age: 17. I understand that this is low for this server, but you will see that it is not an issue.

Minecraft Experience: I have been playing minecraft for some time now and thoroughly enjoy the game. I am not the most creative builder but I am fairly adequate at redstone. I am far better at logic than creativity which is why I can make semi-elaborate redstone builds yet my houses are glorified cubes. I have been on other servers and have never been in conflict with the staff. After setting up my house and such I typically spend my excess time helping other members gather materials in which they need. I do not grief, I do not raid, and it will forever stay that way; I believe that one should never have fun at the expense of others. The primary reason that I left my old server is that there is a lack of active members, if accepted on this server I will prove myself to be an active and dedicated part of the server.

About Me: I am a senior in high school and I am very unlike most people of my age group. I am incredibly hard to offend and take great care not to offend others so I would be willing to accept any subject matter. As previously stated I do not make jokes at the expense of others so one would ever catch me pulling a practical joke or harassing another member. I am aware that everyone says this wether or not it is true, but I am indeed a mature person and after getting to know me it becomes readily apparent. My interests besides minecraft primarily consist of science (more specifically basic quantum physics) and engineering.
