Topics I've Started

Color coding hub exits and/or paths

08 August 2013 - 09:24 AM

Last night, Forebrow was trying to lead me from the hub to a spot we were hoping to build on. During the process, we found ourselves spending a solid several minutes trying to figure out which side of the hub we needed to leave from and which path to take.

This led me to the idea and suggestion of color coding exits leaving the hub to make the area easier to navigate. When I mentioned this in game, many people had different opinions on the matter so I wanted to bring up the topic here. The idea would be to use colored wool or hardened clay to differentiate paths and exits so that we wouldn't have to remember exits by North, South, East, and West, or take the left stone brick path instead of the right.

Please share your feelings, thoughts, and ideas.
