Topics I've Started

Inventions that made your life the most enjoyable.

07 January 2014 - 04:17 AM

So as both a nature lover and a technology lover, I always wondered what tech in the world has helped other individuals acheive some form of material happyness in one way or another.

What item(s) have helped you enjoy life the most, what natural things have helped you enjoy life the most, and of course why.

For me- Technological: The Telescope- Because it helps me touch the sky with my imagination, a form of feeling free and having a sense of humble understanding that we are all worthless in the big picture that is the universe, but can be worth everything to each other. I could lose all my material items again, but the only one I would miss to the point of tears would be my telescope.

Natural- Rocks and trees both- All kinds due to their ability to be made into tool that can both help you survive in many ways from simple deadfall traps, sharp weapons, tools, shelter building/protection, landmarking, heating, and of course water skipping like a boss.

Application of Pi

07 January 2014 - 03:26 AM

((Disclaimer-This is how I do things as it is what I as a person am more comfortable with. Also this is the exact same applicaiton I put in months ago with some minor changes. I don't see the point in making a whole new application that would end up being less informative))

Name-Samuel Blantz "AKA- Pi"

Age-24

DOB-10231988

Study-Evolutionary Biology

SubStudy-Mechanical Engineering

PriHist-Ex 12B10 CBT-Engineer 06-2011/Dep07-08OIF

CivHist-Student and Part time security/Volunteer for FnB.

Psychological Profile- Peaceful minded and laid back unless required otherwise. Loves Bill Nye, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Marie Curie, Stephen Hawking, and other assorted scientists. Have a love for ecosystems and planet sustainment. Seeking to go into college in 2015 for Evolutionary Biology and Eco-Biology. Volunteers at a local Peoples Garden. Loves punk rock. Is a moderator for Terraform Gaming Starbound Server.

Strong Points- Goal oriented, quick to analyze and attempt to get to the bottom of issues,  people person. Thinks twerking is going to be the cause of the universe collapsing, honest, and is willingto lend a helping hand.

Bad Points- Will ramble on about human equality, gets overly focused on a project and forgets to eat but never forgets to feed his cat, stands up without his cane sometimes, forgets that checking the mail is actually important nowadays, pranks like a boss (When I prank, I do it so that it is not going to cause grief nor destroy anything of anyones or their person. I am a nice troll.))

Reasons for wanting to be here.

After reading the About SixtyGig page and looking through the pics and such, I have as before remain on the stance that this crew would be more suited for me than other servers. As I personally am tired of consistent griefing and insane amounts of ignorance. If my theory is correct, with this crew I will not have to worry about anything being jacked, or having to deal with a 12 year old begging for diamonds that I do not have, nor would I have to deal with drama to the extent of feeling like I'm about to come down with the "F-yous". In short, this would be a good relationship, with a lot of good strings attached, just don't ask me to dance. And also this is my third application. I tend to submit an app, wait for a while, end up having to leave for a while, come back and restart. Yay real life getting in the way of things. However I "should" beable to stay around now that I can, however I will state that life happens and that chances are good I may end up dissapearing again for an unknown amount of time  but will however continue to come back after completion of whatever happens. I am goal oriented, and one of my goals is to join this server so that I don't have to deal with the standard stupidity seen in every other server I have been in. With that Essayons.

Hilarious thing I found.

So I was at a meeting with some of my fellow activists and the topic of outreaching to people about equality came up and my friend Rex, she showed me this link. IDK about you all, but I found this to be hilarious. And by hilarious I mean laughing at how absurd this dude is xD. Enjoy.

Two guys walk into a bar. The first one says, "Can I get an H20?"

17 September 2013 - 11:44 AM

Just because I cannot think of other things to make a thread about in order to get to know people, I decided to be a noob and make a comical thread for everyone opening with my all time joke about Hydrogen Peroxide.

So two guys walk into a bar. The first one says.

"I'll have a glass of H2O please!"

The barkeep nodded and handed the man his water then looked to the second.

The second man then said. "I will have H2O too"

The bartender used to be a chemistry tech, and ended taking this literally. So he walked out of the bar and left for a bit while the two men waited. Finally the barkeep came back with a glass of Hydrogen Peroxide. The man took the glass and downed what he thought was water.

In short, the second man died. ( http://en.wikipedia....drogen_peroxide )

-drumroll of fail-

Pi's Application

16 September 2013 - 11:07 AM

Hello. My name is Samuel, but please call me Pi. I Was around a while back with the name of Server1337, but unfortunately was not able to stick around on the forums due to medical and research reasons. The past couple of months I have gone under the knife and then after being able to get around better, started pursuing a few goals that needed to be done, now however I am back and and able to actually give time again since everything got fixed. So here we go, round two.
