Public Skelly Farm

16 August 2014 - 11:58 AM

It's along my minecart track which is attached to the NE station. you can also hop off the N <-> NE track about halfway along. It's other entrance is marked with a small Sandstone building. There's an ender chest, enchanting table, anvil, workbench, furnace and chests for the various skelly drops. If you want to keep or donate your drops to the chests that is up to you. If you're looking for free bones, arrows, bows, and random armour pieces it's the place to go.

It's manual kill but if anyone with experience in such things would like to redesign it I'm cool with that.

There's now a mobevator and the skellies are being dropped. Merlinver helped greatly in setting up the farm's lights so there's now and on/off switch. It's a pretty efficient way to get xp now.

I've also put a bunch of random gold swords in there for stabbing purposes.

Tiny Build Contest.

01 August 2014 - 05:54 AM

Right... so I've set an area aside on the island my house is on and made a bunch of plots. my island has a track and the station is the Northeast one. There is also a bridge and you can hop off the track that goes from north <-> northeast. the plots have a workbench, furnace, double chest, and a sign. Your build can't be higher that 7 blocks and it can't be bigger than 7x7. no basements either. this is a creativity challenge! vines and ladders attached to the side of your build don't count as an extra block. I've put down a load of torches around the area so it should be pretty safe at night. I've also put a building up just in case and there's an ender chest inside it. I'm going to be putting down a bunch of chests with free materials in them. Cobblestone, smooth stone, dirt, grass, sand, sandstone, gravel, and clay will be in the chests. the contest starts today and will run until the next reset day. your build can be pretty much anything as long as it's got a theme. the theme is your choice. just put your name and the theme on the sign next to the plot you claim. I've got a bunch of sheep of various colours and you're free to shear them or dye them. You're also welcome to the stuff on the farm so long as you replant it.

The winner will be determined by a poll that I'll post when the contest ends.

Curse Client: Downloading resource packs.

05 June 2014 - 08:51 AM

http://www.curse.com...packs/minecraft

So Curse.com has a great minecraft wiki if you haven't seen it. it's located here. http://minecraft.gam.../Minecraft_Wiki . This wiki has great little video clips about a variety of MC related things like how to tame wolves and ocelots or just how to create efficient farms, etc. I use it to look up recipes I can't recall. Anyways they have the curse client. This handy program can be used to easily browse, install, and uninstall texture packs located on their website. If you  make resource packs you can also upload them to their site. They also have saved worlds and various other things. I saw Ray's resource pack on there.

Merrybeth's application

21 May 2014 - 07:26 AM

Hi. My name is Erinn. I'm 31 years old. I live in Indiana. I'm married. I like kids and animals. My IGN is Merrybeth. I'm not looking for a server, I'm looking for a community. I don't want to play with annoying 12 year olds that grief and beg for stuff constantly. I haven't been playing that long but I enjoy playing. i've tried several adult only servers but I didn't find any I liked. i don't want to have to protect my builds with annoying plugins and signs and codes and god knows what else. I just want to build and know that people aren't going to be douchebags and tear it down just because it's there. I don't like giant random holes in the ground or random floating trees (they look like crap). I want to play on a server where people actually care what the server as a whole looks like and not just their own builds. I want to build things that make the community as whole look better and I don't want to be a second class citizen if I haven't played as long or given as much money. I hate when people try to use as few letters as possible in their sentences. Chat shouldn't be like a text message. I read your rules and and I really really want to join. Are you real? Because you seem too perfect to be real.
