I'd like to see an enchantment that increases the max range of tools and weapons.

 

Range I = reaches one block further

Range II = reaches two blocks further

Range III = reaches three blocks further

Range IV = reaches four blocks further

 

I think that would be useful, especially when you're perched on the side of a chasm, or trying to get that last log at the top of a tree.

 

Something I thought of recently that would be nice is saddle bags for horses, that would give the horse a chest or so's worth of inventory. 

That's a good option, that way a person could dial in a level of efficiency and safety that was easier or harder based on preference.

 

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of mules/donkeys then? You can put chests on them I thought?

This. Or, a really pretty 15 puzzle. Except, with a 16th piece.

I know that TPTB changed this when they redid enchanting. I've also heard through the grapevine that one of the ideas being tossed around for future version of the game is the possibility of removing enchantments from items. This could be a sign that the work they are doing towards that is incomplete yet existent. Though, the idea of being able to choose enchantments is also very promising. Only time will tell I guess.

Whoa! It's been over a year since I applied. This thread exploded.

Of course, it's to be expected I guess. It's funny though, even with everywhere I've checked out looking for an SMP home, I keep coming back to sixtygig just to see what's new. Just something about the atmosphere. I haven't posted much or reapplied because my playing has been intermitent. Not a real great reason, I know. And I'm just kind of rambling, I just wanted to point out that it's nifty to see so much growth!
