There have been thefts in the past but not a whole lot of mindless destruction (as far as I can tell).

Yeah there is not a design right now but i am a great builder i can make a good design in creative. A better idea would have a building contest to whoever is interested, then the people would post their ideas on the forum, then people would vote on whatever one they like the best. The winner would be our design and our leader in building the hub. We have a big enough area around the portal hub already for a big building. This idea would involve the community even more.

You'd have to put a limit on how many can join the competition if you're going to have a vote from the general users. If everyone was allowed you may not get a decisive vote as many would be inclined to vote for their own buildings.

How about restricting the people who are in the contest from voting?

That works too, as long as the majority of players aren't in the contest.

That's what I meant. Personally, I've developed an aversion to using wood in my buildings.

Here's an idea:
How about about a series of small islands to host each portal to each person's zone. For a time, each user can "decorate" their corresponding island to their choosing as a form of personalization.
