I was wondering if it would be alright to make a shop that "sold" map seeds. Since we have new comers (including myself) who maybe don't know where to start looking when it comes to finding themselves a map this might make things a little easier for them. I know there are websites and a post on Sixty Gig that give seeds and information already but I think it would be nice to have an in town source too.
And just for clarification, I would post a sign with the map seed and a short description of the first 250x250 blocks. The player would still need to log out and view the map from creative mode. I could also have a section devoted to individual players already existing maps as travel destinations with permission from the map's host.
