My is game name is blc1973.

As my moniker eludes I'm old! 39 years old to be exact.

I currently reside somewhere in Missouri, USA

I have played Minecraft for over a year and a half now. In that time I been berated, belittled, kicked, banned, made fun of, trolled and basically made to look as out of place as possible by many younger players. I play this game out of necessity. After 12 years serving in the US Army; my life was turned on it's head when I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Slowly as my condition worsened, my body became more unwilling to function. I turned to Minecraft when my physical therapist suggested distracting myself with something mentally engaging to help stave off the pain. I was immediately hooked. The one thing missing was the camaraderie. I have been to so many servers searching for some level of understanding. I patiently answered the droves of questions involving my age and employment. (I stay at home with my children unless it's a treatment day) Still, it seemed, no one could wrap their minds around the fact that a guy their dad's age was playing a game. I understand that to be young is to be brash and I can hardly blame anyone for that. I love this game and the beauty it can create. I love the challenge of the survival aspect and the inspiration creative mode can bring. I take joy in being a part of the Minecraft community as a whole and wish to do that in a more mature setting. I'm old but not crusty; nor am I sensitive about my condition. I just want to settle down and have fun sharing my creations with a community that might appreciate what I have to offer.

After I received a particularly nasty verbal bashing from a 14 year old, I looked up, "Mature Minecraft Servers" in my google search bar. lol

I prefer survival but can do some ok work in creative.

In closing I would like to add, my skills as a builder have been under fire many a time but I can improve with the right tutelage. (If that is even a factor in the application process.) Both personally and in the gaming realm; I'm known for being polite and supportive.
