CinnamonChild

Hi!

My game name is CinnamonChild, my first name is Erin.  I'll happily respond to either.  I've used CinnamonChild as a handle ever since a 2 year old I babysat way back when decided my name was Cinnamon (no clue where it came from, but I thought it was cute).

I'm 29 and very new to Minecraft but also very hooked.  I've been a casual gamer since my dad brought the first computer in the house when I was 8.  I went to college for Computer Science but in my third year I did a job shadow and was forced to realize a rather critical problem with pursuing computers as a career: I'd have to sit at the computer for the better part of the day every day.  How I made it through three years without processing that fact I don't know, but that was a deal breaker.  I dropped out of college and got a job in a bakery: there was my calling.  Now I'm a stay at home mom of a precious 3 year old boy and I still bake frequently. 

As for Minecrafting: I like to build in a way that ties beauty with functionality and I LOVE playing with redstone.  I'm still woefully inexperienced but luckily experimentation doesn't waste materials (unless I have a lava accident /sigh) so I can just keep poking till I figure it out.  All of my experience has been solo and in a LAN game with my husband.  

I'm looking for a server I can call home.  My husband has taken a hiatus for a different game and I miss playing WITH someone so I decided to look at what was out there.  I spent a few hours on an open server and came back from a mining run to find my little house had been looted, that was it for me.  After looking around for a server for mature players I found this one and less than halfway through the "About"  page I knew this was where I wanted to be.

I tend to be very quiet online because I've had so many negative experiences with mean people but if this server is as awesome as it sounds I suspect that will change very quickly as I really do LOVE to talk.
