I've got a few friends like that. Mostly family, actually. I'm purposefully not mentioning the server, because I'm 99% sure that they will spread the word among people in my (and their) age group, that are neither mature nor a good fit for the server. (Themselves included).

Those are exactly my thoughts in regards to the friends I was referring to. Although it isn't like they're immature, they just wouldn't fit in with this kind of community.

Yep us old people are pretty boring you know... :)

Not at all. :3

What kind of server did you think this was?

Please don't take that as rude. I'm just trying to figure out what your impression was so that I can see if we need to revise the About page in some way so that it's clear to applicants that they are signing up for a mostly-vanilla server. Also, what kind of server are you looking for?

I honestly wasn't sure what I thought the server type was, nor was I even worried about it upon finding the server. I wouldn't take my obliviousness as a statement that you should revise anything, because it doesn't seem others have had the same misunderstanding (that I'm aware of).

I didn't mean to say it was mostly because of the server type, because that isn't necessarily true. If I'm to be blatant, I don't know if I want to play regularly on here, is all. It's sort of complicated. I have a few close friends who I only speak to on Minecraft, and I'm not sure they'd be willing to (try to) join here, nor do I think this would really be their type of environment. Basically, I don't want to start playing regularly on a new server (this is mostly hypothetical, as there I have no idea if I'd be accepted or not) and "ditch" said friends. I wouldn't be too worried about it, if they were not close friends of mine that have been for years.

The server type is a minute factor that I could get over. I apologize for the misunderstanding involving my last post. For now, the application will stand.

I'm actually rethinking whether or not I want to join, mostly because of the server type (basically vanila). I'm not exactly sure if I intend on sort of just retconning this application or not.

You mentioned you like reading dystopian, is there anything you'd recommend? I haven't found many good books lately, and while dystopian isn't my favorite, I'm scraping the bottom here! :P

A few series come to mind.

Divergent - This is probably the best I've recently read, set in Chicago. It's got a great plot, and unlike most popular books right now the romance is very sub-plot. Basically, the world is divided into five factions, each representing a trait. Abnegation the selfless, Amity the peaceful, Candor the honest, Dauntless the brave, and Erudite the intelligent.

Delirium - Basically, this is all about love, which isn't exactly ideal but it was still a good read. In their society, they believe love is a disease and so when you get to a certain age, you are injected with what is prominently called the cure, and then you don't feel love, or much anything.

I would also suggest the Escape from Furnace series, but I don't really think that's dystopian.

Thank you guys, for the welcomes.

You also like Supernatural? I used to like it, but it is becoming a bit boring for me now. A series should not go too long with too many seasons if they want to follow a strict storyline. Look at Smallville...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm still trying to get caught up, although I already know what is currently going on in the series (I have friends who can't help but spoil, it's a shame~). I've probably watched all of the episodes, I just haven't seen them in order so that's what I'm trying to do.

On a side note, I've seen a lot of servers using 1.7.2 Spigot as a makeshift craftbukkit .jar, and I'm glad you guys aren't. It's pretty bad; you can't even use any of the 1.7.2 features, links are broke, and there's several other significant glitches.
